Molly Hummel
Molly Mordaunt began as head volleyball coach for the Delta College Mustangs in 2011. In her first season as head coach, she led her team to a record of 20-8, tied for second in the Big 8 conference, 3rd in Northern California and a 7th place state final ranking. During that season, she produced three All-Conference players, and one All Nor-Cal player. In Molly’s second season she produced one All-Conference player and one All- Conference honorable mention player and both athletes are continuing their careers with scholarships at 4-year schools.
Previously, Mordaunt was an assistant coach at Delta for three seasons under head coach Michaela Reyes. She helped guide the Mustangs to three state championship elite eight finishes along with one conference championship, producing 3 All State players along with 6 All Conference players.
Mordaunt began her coaching career at St. Mary's High School, leading her freshman squad to an undefeated league title. She then moved on to the varsity girls’ volleyball coach at her alma mater, Lincoln High School where her team placed first in league during the 2005 season. From 2007-2008, Molly was the assistant coach at the University of the Pacific and her job duties focused on fundamental skills training, defense, recruiting, alumni relations and the running of the Pacific youth volleyball camps.
Mordaunt played volleyball at the University of the Pacific for four years and the team was ranked in the top 25 national polls during her four-year career. While at Pacific, Molly was a Big West All Academic Scholar Athlete and a Pacific Scholar athlete. She was voted by her teammates as the most inspirational player.
