Jim Polster

 

Jim Polster joined the Tigers' staff for his first season as the University of the Pacific's Volunteer Assistant Coach in 2013. Polster came to Pacific as a highly decorated collegiate and international player as both an All-American at Long Beach State and a member of Team USA. Joining Team USA in 2001, Polster was part of the American victories at the NORCECA Continental Championship and Americas' Cup in 2007, as well as taking home a silver medal at the Pan American Games and a bronze at the FIVB World League. While at Long Beach State, Jim earned second-team All-American honors by the American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA) in 2001 and was named to the All-Mountain Pacific Sports Federation third team as a senior. Polster earned All-MPSF honors in all four years of action for the 49ers as one of the top outside hitters in the top conference in the nation.
